Can someone please tell me if the latest update erased t
he capability of recording tracks.I can't seem to find a button our method of recording my track log. Ask I see now are multiple waypoints recorder.

No no that's still available:
Open the Geolocation submenu and select the first subitem to open the geolocation window, where you will find the tracker.
