[done] Application Directory

I want the directory on the memory card to be /sdcard/external_sd/ on a Galaxy Note and the default created on installation is sdcard/external_sd/alpinequest/maps/

I have changed the application folder in settings and exited several times but it does not let me find the maps. It shows the default at the top. The only one that shows is the Default World map.

Pressing the back button puts me back to map types.

How do you set the default directory on the sd card?

Hi,
The "application directory" on the AlpineQuest preferences is not well named. This preference is actually the 'SD card path'.
Then AlpineQuest will set its folder to '[SD card path]/alpinequest/' (and the maps folder to '[sd card path]/alpinequest/maps/'), you cannot change that right now.

So if you want to store your maps on your SD card, you have to set the application folder to '/sdcard/external_sd/', and put your maps in '/sdcard/external_sd/alpinequest/maps/'.

Thanks for this - I assumed this was the case but other products such MM Tracker which also reads qct files allows you any directory.

Can you not change this on the next release as it is rather primitive to be forced to use your directory structure?

In version 1.3.1 you can read maps from any directory of the SD card.
