Hi. I have been using build 214 with Memory map QCT files very happily and was excited to see build 215 promising improvements in speed for QCTs However, it works very slowly and is vitually unusable. it has put 14316 jpgs in the alpinequest folder. How can I get 214 back? Another user has posted:

DpM on April 23, 2012 (Version 1.2.15b)
Updates are not always better......

Since the latest update, QCT (Memory Maps) will not load, the program now creates thousands of .jpg images in the alpinequest folder. Have email'd support and no reply. The program was fab until update.....................................now I can't use.

Hi,
I'm sorry for this issue. I'm trying to add support for QC3 maps since a long time (unfortunately without success) and I forgot to remove few debug features on the 1.2.15b hotfix. The JPGs are part of it.
I have just released another version - yes, again :( hope this one will finally be OK. I also hope you will find the loading (at least a bit) better.

I'm not really happy about how I released the last version, I was exited to distribute the new map canvas, and my 4 QCTs test maps loaded fine. But unfortunately that wasn't the case for everyone, maybe I didn't made enough tests. I also understand that users of the paid version are waiting for a certain quality.
I just want all the users to know that everything I do for AlpineQuest is for good reasons, I work hard for it (I spend all my last week-end fixing the 1.2.15 release), and the only thing I want is that it becomes better and better. I get suggestions from everywhere, sometime in contradiction, and unfortunately it's impossible to satisfy everyone.
Also note that I check and answer my emails everyday, same thing for the support forum, that a lot of work, and when I read comments on the market saying there is no support, the only thing I want is to give up all this... Thanks to positive comments I don't do it... People can write everything they want in the Market comments, and developers can not answer them, that's a shame, because I never received any email about that issue (I made a fix thanks to your post).

Hope you will still keep confidence in AlpineQuest,
Best regards

Thanks for sorting out the problem so quickly. It is now much more responsive with QCT files and is a pleasure to use. One question: when I create a qct file from memorymap it also creates a QED file which is elevation data. Would Alpinequest ever be able to use this elevation data to read out height on the map? Thanks once again.

I'm currently working on the QC3 format support, and after that, I may have a look at this elevation data format yes. That would be a nice feature you're right.
Best regards
