[done] Offline Maps creator

Post by Enoch.72 »

Hi AQ team,

I have used Oruxmaps for long so far but now the application have problems and crashes my mobile too often and I removed it. Your app is the best alternative I found on the market, good job guys!
What I really miss compare Orux is the lack of off-line maps creator directly with the mobile (integrated in the app.) starting from the OpenStreetMaps (just for example). I don't like at all to need the PC for this job, often I haven't it available, expecially for last minute tours when I'm on journey. It would be a great add-on.

Again: the tracks waypoints with alert depending from the far compare the actual position and the track point.

The last, but maybe this alreay exist, the auto-pause when you are not moving for long.

Thank you very much for your job,

all the best for the new year.

Re: Offline Maps creator

Hi and sorry for this late answer.
Happy New Year and thanks for the feedback.

I don't know how other apps work but with AlpineQuest every displayed area of any online map is saved on the SD card so it is then available offline. This is not a really "map creator" but it allows you to save any area of online maps from your phone.
You can also use map layers feature to display few online maps at the same time and save them together (I often use OpenStreetMap Cycle and Google Satellite together). Long-click on a map and select "Add as layer".
However if you think that a more classical map creator is better let me know I can add it to the wanted feature list.

Can you be more clear for the other two points, I'm not sure I really got them.

Best regards
