[closed] Geolocation doesn't work

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S 2 with AlpineQuest 1.2.1. When using either of the geo-location modes it only says "Please wait..." and never really locates anything.
However, at the same time/location the default Google Maps application finds me quickly and accurately.
Please advise.

Actually it could be that there is some threshold which needs to be achieved in accuracy, as it started to work when I got to a place with good coverage.
The thing that confused me though was that Google Maps managed to find me in that spot but AlpineQuest didn't.

Hi,
In version 1.2.2 you can see the number of satellites found and fixed. That gives an indication of whats happening while waiting for a fix.
Moreover, the geolocation startup has been improved and should be faster.
