I followed the directions on
https://www.offline-maps.net/en/help/se ... _and_above
But maybe they don't work on Android 13.
But then the maps don't magically appear inside the app though.
Maybe I just need to push some button? Or maybe there is no hope of solving this with just a Samsung A13 5G cell phone.

You need to use an file manager compatible with Android 11 and more, like CX File Manager.
But if what you are trying to do is to import your .aqx file, simply select it from your file manager and select offlinemaps to open it...

That worked! Please be sure to mention that on that web page. Thanks.

Also there is the problem of users who want to look at an AQX file, e.g., COM.55.AQX, no longer being able to do so, even if it is already on their cellphones, without the help of a computer.
So a solution that would even work offline would be: When looking in the Displayed Maps menu, in a Details sub-menu, add a "AQX" button that would share the AQX file with the user.

You can already long-press a map group -> Share
But note that, as already multiple times on this forum, on Android 11/12/13/... you can still do ALL the things you where doing before, just use an updated file manager, like Cx File Manager.

Huh, how could it be more powerful permission-wise than the stock file explorer that comes with the phone?
OK, I'm sold!
I'll give it a try.
If it doesn't work I'll be back

1. In chrome, visit some internet directory with an .aqx file in it.
2. Long press the aqx file, and in the menu, tap share.
You will see many apps get listed. But not yours! Bug!
Okay so then we can forget about that path, and instead pick Download. Now we use the CX file explorer and in yes we can select the aqx file from the Download directory, and then finally we can choose your app to share it with!
By the way, let's say we have seven workspaces. Well we'll have to repeat the procedure seven times. Actually this must be a feature because we don't necessarily want the same maps available in every workspace. But still it should be documented, unless it has been already.
