AlpineQuest & OfflineMaps

Hello,

I'm using a Samsung A12 running Android 12 kernel 4.19.111.

Since few months, the application doesn't trace the position when the phone is locked.
I've noticed that the GPS autorisation is on "allowed when used".
Google map can access the position when the application is in background. This option is not available with Alpine Quest.
What can I do?

Hi Marc,

Be sure to not use any battery optimization mode on your device, have the application as "unmonitored" for battery usage, as explained here: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/ ... _recording

Google Maps does request background location access? Maybe, they like to track you even if you haven't started the Google Maps app.
AlpineQuest never uses location or anything if you have not started the app first, so it does only need location access while using the app. Note that when the track recorded is started, it's considered as using the app, even is you have closed the main AQ map activity.
