Hi Francois
Having spent quite a while experimenting and learning, a process that is not yet complete - especially learning, rather to my surprise I have come to like Sets.
Over the last few days I have spent some time tidying up my Displayed placemarks. Deleting stuff, converting paths to routes where appropriate and generally making it look quite smart.
I went so far as create a Set called 'Local Routes'. I then attempted to copy a route into that set. Indeed it did just that except it copied the route as a series of waypoints which was not what I was expecting . However on reflection it is what it says on the tin - A set is a collection of waypoints. I was rather hoping to have the named routes in my local routes obviously but also assemble Sets for holiday routes for example.
So am I doing something wrong?
Is there another or better way of achieving the same result?
Could Sets be enhanced to accommodate named Routes and in the same way specific tracks? (I am guessing it would depend on the ability to nest?).
Really not urgent.
Regards
David

Re: Sets
David, a "Set of waypoints" is a collection of points, so no it won't be able to accommodate routes.
More details on the available type of placemarks is here: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/ ... #waypoints
If you want to group routes, or paths, or sets, create "Placemarks file".
You'll be able to copy/paste anything you want in that. You can also create sub-folder.
