AlpineQuest & OfflineMaps

I'm running 2.3 on a pixel 6 Android 12.
I have looked at previous posts re qct file visibility.
I have a number of .qct files in the default maps folder, the "maps" folder inside the application folder ("/Android/data/psyberia.alpinequest.full/files/maps/"). Alpinequest does not appear to able to see these, only showing a jpg image.
Looking at Alpinequest permissions, it only has permission to see media files within its permitted folders, and there is no option to expand this to other files.
Have I missed something or has Alpinequest only requested media permissions from Android ?

Thank you for the quick response. I had seen that post but just placing the qct file into the default folder with a separate file manager app didn't sort the problem of visibility for me. Have I missed another step?
