I think a nice feature would be an option to show the compass pointer on the map at the current location, instead of the side tab, when orientation is enabled.

Why not! The UI will be updated soon and this could be included in the changes. Added in the
feature list.

Thank you, I will look forward to that! By the way, I am also eagerly looking forward to MemoryMap map compatibility, which I see is already on the list.
