It is often necessary to load (save) only the maximum zoom (for example: z19), and all previous zoom (for example: z1-z18) do not need to be loaded.
This option will save time for downloading, as well as save memory and traffic on the device.

There have been various discussion about this on this forum. To resume, there is no plan currently to add this ability in the built-in area downloader because:
- When you store an area, most of the space is used by the last zoom level only (around 70-80%), so it actually doesn't save a lot of space;
- When you want to navigate, it's almost impossible to do so if you only have the last zoom level, you cannot un-zoom and navigate fast around the map.

But if you absolutely want to do so, you can create your maps using MOBAC which has this ability.
