Can't you ask the author to bring the search for "distance/bearing" to its logical end - to create not only a track of the form " 100 m 20°", but also a point of the same name at the end of this track?
Then, in the" placemarks on the map", when the" show bearing " option is enabled, specify the reverse azimuth, for example, with a minus sign. There is enough free space there, and the calculations are simple.
I noticed that if we "find" the "distance/bearing" at different values of the "direction to the north", we will get two intersecting segments, which is logical, but in the "placemarks on the map" we will see two tracks with the same characteristics. And it is very difficult to determine which one is correct. I don't know if it's worth putting some kind of label to indicate that a particular azimuth was built, for example, with "magnetic north", but it's definitely worth keeping in mind.

Hi Alex,
Right now the Search can only result in one single placemark (a point, an area, a line), but not multiple items. It will be too much time to change this.
Note that the line is a route, ie it's made of 2 waypoints, one is the start location and one is the end location. You can select the "End" point and do everything like you do with a regular point. I don't see the real need of adding another point.

BUT, when you search bearings, if you want a point instead of a line, you can use this user setting:
search.bearing.display_result_line=false
This will result in a point instead of a line. It's available from version 2.2.5.

Concerning the second point, yes you're right that the reference north is not saved in the bearing result. But you usually don't change this setting often.
Also, in the next update, the bearing value will be updated when you change the reference North, and you'll be able to reverse the bearing.

It will be available in the next beta version.
