Hi, François!.
There is a user setting I think the size here is a very helpful so it would be great to make it as a standard setting instead of user setting. The example is as it done in (Display circular scale Settings:
Size Small Meduim Big Or to change the size with a horizontal slider.
To make it in:
Positioning → Information box → Position status Settings

The same thing is for Placemarks → Information box → Target information Settings
To change the size of the text in the standard settings.

It's now available in the last available beta (2.2.8.r6706).

I've noticed that background color can be changed now, so maybe it's necessary to have possibility to change also police and items color of the info box ?

You can only change the background color of the information boxes at the top left (since quite some time ago, this is not new).
There is no background color of the center information texts.

It's not exactly what i wanted to say (... my poor english ...)
I try to say, for the top left information boxes, that if you set a white background color, the boxes are not readable because the text is white (i know that it could be changed with a user setting but it's more difficult for new users).

The text of the information box is black by default, except for the coordinates: the main one uses the main location grid color (black by default) and the secondary coordinate format uses the secondary coordinate grid color (blue by default).
It's true that if you choose a dark infobox color, the black text won't be easily readable, but I guess it's up to the user to choose a suitable color for him. I've added the background color option only because some users wanted to be able to make the infobox partially transparent. But the information boxes have been designed to be white background and black text, beyond that it's an advanced setting so it's OK if it requires user settings. Since you see the text in white, I guess you're already using one.

You have the permission as a registered user.
The main idea is:
1. To add more choices instead of the current 3 (small-medium-big) and make 5 for example
or
2. To change the current values in the existing chioces (small-medium-big)
People use various devices with various resolutions and sizes and the current settings small-medium-big may be good for one and not good for another.
And what if I need a very big data dispaly? The user setting are the way out but not everybody knows about it and it takes some more additional efforts to apply (including application restart).

The ideal solution for this may be the slider as used for the colour change when users may see the data size as it may be displayed on the screen.

Yes the idea of a slider is good. It would allow more choices in the same space. I'll try to do this.
Currently I'm working on polar maps support (arctic and antarctic), but I'll try make a new beta with the slider soon.

Positioning → Options → Positioning status → Settings → Slider Size Small-Large

Is it normal when the size settings are the same for both Target information and Positioning status, i.e. if I change Target information text size, the size of the text in Positioning status changes automatically and becomes equal to Target information size?
I guess the the changes in both parts should be independent.

Yes right now there is only one size for all center texts. But I can make them independent...
