Hi, I have used Alpinequest for several years and have been very happy with it. However recently I have been getting frustrated with the naming.
At one time when a recorded track was saved it asked for a name and this was fine. Then it changed (early 2020??) and automatically saved with a number (e.g Track 71). Now it seems to me that it automatically saves but sometimes with a number and sometimes with the date (can this be so??)
I have tried to change the file name but it doesn't have the effect I would like - that is to show in the track list.
What am I missing and how can I resolve this issue?
Many thanks for your help.

Re: Naming tracks and files
Hi,
Yes, since version 2.2.5 (April 2020), you can name the recorded track at any time, not just at the end (following a lot of complaints of users being forced to name the track at the end).
The online help has been updated accordingly, see here how to name it before stopping the recording: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/ ... the_record
You can also rename your track from the recorded tracks list, but in this case the name of the file won't be updated.
Otherwise, if a track has no name, the application will display the record date.
