kml map import issue

Post by Brunus89 »

Hello,

I'm using version 2.1.1f

While trying to import a kml map i get the following error message : "Error: 0 elemento" (i use the app in spanish) and the nothing is imported

The kml file comes from http://mapwarper.net/ and i tested it on http://kmlviewer.nsspot.net/

Could you please help me ?

Hi and sorry for the delay.

Unfortunately the application doesn't currently support those kind of KML files. To open a KMZ map with the application, it must contain the map as an image (ie a KMZ Image Overlay).

However you can display maps from this website by using the "Tiles (Google/OSM scheme)" provided in the Export section of a map page.
I've attached an example file (for this map). Just open this .AQX file with the app like a KML file.
You can edit it using any text editor and change the URL part.

Let me know if something is not clear.

Thank you very much, it works perfectly.

Is there a way to have this tiles in a file inside my memory card instead of connecting to the MapWarper site to download them ?

Hi again (sorry for the delay).
Unfortunately Mapwarper doesn't offer any export format that include the original image.
But you can use the Store area tool to store the complete map on your device.
