				There is no way to disable computing and displaying the ETA. Some users might like it, but for other users it just doesn't make sense.

				Hi,
You're right, there is currently no way.
I'll add a user setting to disable this in next version (not in the one currently currently in beta testing which will be released these days).
Note that you can completely disable the distance line (distance+ETA) from the app settings.

				Hi,
In addition to add user setting to disable ETA, may you add user setting to enable/disable bearing from the current location to the screen center?

				Yes I'll do that.
For information this value is already given in the white infobox on the top/left of the screen.

Yes, I know that. I don't need displaying the ETA, but display bearing I need often.

				I've just published a new version with 2 new user settings (
details here for AlpineQuest);
Use
Code: Select all
geolocation.localisation.display_distance_line_eta=false
to disable display of the ETA, and
Code: Select all
geolocation.localisation.display_distance_line_bearing=true
to enable display of bearing.
In the future I'll add a proper setting with more choice, but this does the job until then.
Best regards

				In version 2.2.6 being currently released, you can choose what to display at the screen center from the GPS location menu > Options > Setting icon at the right of "Positioning status".

				Sorry again, but I can not see any changes on the screen. Did I do anything wrong?

				You are not changing the correct settings.
- For the target line texts, you must use the settings from the "Target information" option: 10 here:
https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/ ... marks_menu
- For the GPS location line texts, you must use the settings from the "Positioning status" option, 10 here:

				Thanks. But the problem was another - I should have turned the Display distance line on in the Settings.
It was turned off and I could not gess it.
Is there a way to make a kind of a hint in the Positioning Option?
Positioning status → Settings → Position status (Display distance line should be on)?
