AlpineQuest & OfflineMaps

Hello,

The Openstreet Outdoor map disappeared from the built-in stored maps menu and can not even retrieved from the community stored maps.

Also the on-board saved maps have disappeared from my device, together with all the saved landmarks.
Any clue?

Hi,
There are 2 different things here:
- Concerning the disappearance of some data, please check you don't have a cleaning app that may delete your files, or add the AlpineQuest folder as a whitelist.
- Concerning the "outdoor" map, it's normal that it's removed when there is no data saved for it. This is because it has been moved: click on "add more maps" and select "OSM Thunderforest maps".

Actually, the Samsung built-in cleaning app suddenly started to erase all the AlpineQuest data folder on the internal memory, resetting also the map preferences (maybe after an app update?)
Sadly, I still find no way to add the folder to a whitelist, but I'll work it out.

Yes this "problem" has already been reported.
It seems that when choosing the application folder including the path "/Android/data/psyberia.alpinequest.full/files/", the files are no more removed. I seems that the Sumsung cleaning app doesn't like the "/alpinequest/" folder...
Please let me know if you confirm this too.

Changing the application folder to "/Android/data/psyberia.alpinequest.full/files/" actually prevents them to be cancelled.
I also moved the recorded traks to the sd memory card in order to let them "survive" to the cleaning app

hi, i think my Samsung built-in cleaning app erased all my AlpineQuest data , because i was running the cleaning app yesterday, and my all the landmarks was lost today, Do you know how can i found my data ? thanks!

Unfortunately you're right, the Samsung built-in device cleaning app may delete your stored data depending on the storage location you use. This app completely delete the "cleaned" data, so unfortunately I don't think you can restore it...
