It appears that the NLS (National Library of Scotland) have put the 25 inch maps for most of the rest of England on-line
http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=5& ... rs=168&b=1
You have already created individual links for some of the southern counties -- any chance you could create a map link for the whole of England? The sections of interest to me are Northumberland, Durham and Yorkshire. I have tried editing the existing file but without success!!!
thanks in advance
David

Hi David and thanks for the update.
I'll have a look at this as soon as possible. At least to check if how the maps are made as changed or not.
Best regards

Could I just add that the NLS seem to have changed the location of the One-Inch maps, which have stopped working. This is not a problem for me as I have a 2GB file downloaded but will be for any new user.

Hi again and sorry for the delay. I don't forget this thread...
Unfortunately the layout is still the same so without more work the 25'' map will need dozens of different layers.
I've an idea I want to try, hopefully within few days, I'll give you an update then.
Based on your report I've updated the file to fix the broken map.
Best regards

Hi again,
I've updated those maps and added a "merged" version of the 25''.
It's nice because you only need one map for all areas, but it's soooooo slow when you first access a new area...
Best regards

EXCELLENT!!! thanks very much
I see what you mean about it being a bit slow!! Well, a lot slow!
Could be a "plug it in and leave it running" job, though it seems to speed up a little bit if you repeatedly zoom in and out
Thanks again
David
