I use AlpineQuest all the time and it is a great app.

It would be handy if it could read geospatial pdf's

I volunteer on a search and rescue team and the team uses the website caltopo.com to make geospatial pdf's that then can be downloaded from a web address. These PDF maps show our search zones. Right now we just print the maps off but it would be handy to load them as a map in AlpineQuest.

Thank you for considering this.

Hi and thanks for your interest in our application.

Unfortunately the support for GeoPDF or more generally geospatial PDFs is not planned, sorry about that. Those formats are not well-suited for mobile devices and require a lot of memory and processing.

Here are your options:
- You can directly display maps from "Caltopo" in the application, using on-demand maps (see how to add on-demand maps here);
- You can convert your GeoPDF files into a more common format (for example using Global Mapper), see compatible map formats here.

Hope it helps,
Best regards
