[done] visual display of DEM tiles highly distracting

when the option to "Download and use elevation data" is enabled, the map is constantly polluted with overlays on every tile that is downloading DEM data. this is highly distracting and i see no reason to even show the user a visual indication for this feature. IMO, it should just be a silent background task.
could you please provide a way to enable the "Download and use elevation data" feature but disable the visual downloading indicators?
thanks!

Since I don't mind the DEM indicators, IF you implement this it would be best as an optional switch-off. I find them useful to show you "haven't been here before".

Hi,
I've made two changes concerning this:
- For small scales, the "DEM" message is no more displayed to make the downloading areas less distracting;
- I've also added a new
user setting to completely turn off those status.
I'll try to publish a new beta version soon will this,
Best regards

Hi again,
Those changes are available in the last published beta.
The
user setting to use is:
Code: Select all
maps.features.elevations.display_status=0
Best regards
