The LandMark file import / display function is broken in the latest AQ release

It throws a Java error, with the last line "EMFILE (Too many open files)"

This import function worked perfectly in the previous release for files containing several thousand landmarks.

Sorry about that. I'll make a fix soon.
By the way, I've improved the handling of landmark files: they should be loaded & displayed much faster (at least when the import works...), and you can select visibility for all items independently.

Well I hope so, but my initial impression, before Java crashed, was that the import was taking a lot longer.

I'll reserve judgement until it has been fixed.

The import shouldn't been faster (I haven't changed this part), only the loading of .ldk files has been improved (ie when you display a large file or at restore on restart).
By the way I haven't been able to reproduce your problem on my test files. You you mind to restart your device just to be sure it's not something else...

I got exactly the same issue on three different devices, one tablet and two phones!

I tried an existing LDK and also a re-import from the original GPX. Same Java error each time. Rebooting has no effect.

These files contain over 3000 waypoints, but have worked in all previous versions of AQ and previously, MemoryMap, going back many years.

Just tried a GPX import on my phone and it causes AQ to crash right out to the OS. On my tablet, I can't get in now because the Java error causes the app to lock up as it tries to display the landmarks. I can't get in to turn landmarks off!

AQ has now become unusable for me.

Please provide links for the previous version, which worked perfectly.

Just restored AQ 2.02b.r3141 from a Titanium backup on my tablet and tried the same LDK and GPX imports as before. Both worked perfectly!

Sorry, but AQ 2.0.2b.r3179 is definitely broken.

If you provide an upload location, I will gladly post the LDK and GPX files.

It's not arrived on any of my devices yet

I've checked that I'm still in the beta testing programme and it displays "You are a tester", yet the only version of AQ available to me is 2.0.2b.r3179, which is the broken one.

I had to reboot my devices before they received the AQ update.

Good news, it's all working again in AQ v2.0.2b... phew!
