[closed] "Display contents" no longer an option

On Explore Landmarks with KMLs, there was an option to display the contents without importing into an .ldk file. Is that still an option some other way to just display the contents without having to import?

I like that I didn't have to create another file and it was less steps. Also it takes me to a different folder and I have to navigate back to where I store my KMLs.

Also it seems like the icons are a bit grainy on my S5. Like a resolution issue or something.

Still love the app!

Hi,
Just like GPX files (as discussed here), KML/KMZ files now need to be imported. Directly working with GPX or KML files were too complicated to handle (because they all have their own specificities) and it took ages to re-write the complete file when changing one little thing (like a point color, name or icon)...
However it's true that after the import, the application should ask the user if he want to "Display the content" or "Browse" it. Right now you have to use the "back" button, then long press the imported file and select "Display content"...
Note that you can import all your KML files at once, so you have all the imported version is the same folder.
Concerning the icons, I'll try to improve the quality as soon as possible.
I'll add this choice in the next maintenance update.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, actually once it's imported I can currently click on the subfolder (or go back to file). I've been updating my KMLs a lot recently so I was having to re-import was more trouble. This probably won't be an issue once my files don't change so much. I admit I always did like the "Dynamic Profile" option that you get once you import a file.

same problem with GPX. please make the common task of simply displaying an entire GPX or KML file more intuitive and quicker.
