[closed] AQ crashes when loading landmarks from SD card

My HTC m9 has just upgraded to marshmallow. Now when loading a stored landmark (track) from the SD card by tapping on the track name the application CRASHES (Unfortunately AlpineQuest GPS Hiking has stopped). Waypoints still load ok and tracks still load Ok from internal memory or if the drop down menu on the left side of the landmark is used. Opening a the same landmark and starting the whole application from es file explorer also works ok. Strange!

Further to my report I see that this crash is similar to the general topic labeled crashes and is probably due to the AplineQuest 1.4.22 not being fully compatible with Android 6.x marshmallow. I will explore the Alpha and Beta version of AplineQuest viz 2.00. I do quite a bit of what us Australians call bushwalking and love the program. Thanks

Hi and sorry for the delay of my answer.
AQ 1.4 should not crash when opening landmarks, on any Android version. This is a quite strange issue (I don't remind of similar reports).
However it seems related to the Android storage permission (since it depends on the file location), it may be fixed in the new 2.0 version available soon.
You can get it right now from the Play Store by following those instructions, otherwise the official release is still planned for the end of the week.
