Hi.
Thank you for your excellent AlpineQuest application.
1. Is it possible to make and display some more buttons on the main screen? Let's call it "hot" or "speed" buttons. They can look like the zoom slider button (or in some other way), placed somewhere above zoom slider and be multifunctional or a kind of this. The idea is to have possibility to create a simple waypoint fast or rotate the map on the screen on one click etc.
2. Is it possible to make information boxes (and screen buttons) transparent (semitransparent) with transparency control in the main settings ?

Re: Additional buttons on the main screen and transparent information boxes
Hi Alex,
For 1, I already had lot of requests to add new buttons on the map for various functions, so I really need to find a generic way to do it so everyone can have its own feature configured. I'll give it a closer look after the release of the new version.
For 2, I'll add this in a way or another, should be in the next update.
Thanks for your support

Re: Additional buttons on the main screen and transparent information boxes
Hi again,
With AlpineQuest 2.0 you can now have transparent information boxes. You need to put the attached file in the application folder and restart the application. You can edit the file with a text editor to change the background color and opacity.
Here is the result: EDIT: attachement removed as there is a new setting for this, see below.

Thanks a lot. It works!!!!
I hope later we can edit it/change information box transparency and colours using AlpineQuest settings.

Re: Additional buttons on the main screen and transparent information boxes
I would like to add that everything works fine.
I think there is no need to to change the background color and opacity in program settings. The only thing needed IMHO is to create another checkbox in settings only to switch it on or off.

Re: Additional buttons on the main screen and transparent information boxes
I've already added a new setting to control this, I found this feature very nice actually so it's good if everyone can change it easily.
Once the new version is released (should be less than one week), the user setting given previously will become useless, so I've removed the config file.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
