Hi,
I'm just wondering if there is a way to know if already downloaded map tiles are still up to date.
Also, is there a way to redownload only map tiles that are not up to date ?

Hi,
The only way to know is to contact the map server (if it offers this feature), and ask for the last update date of a tile. It's not a very efficient way since requires to setup the connection and make a request to the server.
Right now the application do not provide any automated tiles update, but when you display a tile older than x days (depends on the map, usually 3 months but it's displayed in the maps details) the tile is requested again. If a newer one is available, the older is replaced.
Another user asked to add an option to the store area tool allowing to also update tiles already stored (right now available tiles are ignored). In this way it could also be used as an update tool...

Oh, yes, that could be very useful to ensure before a ride / hike that the map tiles are up to date.
