[closed] clearer instructions for first time start up please

as a wishlist.
The immediate things a newbie encounters - such as getting rid of that distance line, the glitches we'll find with accessing stored maps in the device, how to jump to 'my current position', how to adjust between head up and north up --- and how do we delete the little wriggly track line showing where we've been?
