It would be a major improvement of offline maps
if the landmarks collected using the app could be used outside the app i.e in ArcGIS or Google earth on a desk top computer.
So it would be very useful if there was an option to export the ARE and WPT files create to KML , shapefile or other format.

Re: cabability to export ARE and WPT files to other format
Hi,
If you have the full version you can convert waypoints, routes and tracks in the GPX format, compatible with almost all gis applications, including Google Earth. Unfortunately the GPX format doesn't support areas. I'll see what I can do for that.
Open the Landmarks explorer, create and empty GPX file, and copy/paste every landmarks you need to convert.
Best regards

Re: cabability to export ARE and WPT files to other format
Hi, I have many waypoints from Alpinequest but unfortunately my phone has broken. In the middle of Argentina and I need to load those waypoints - is there an alternative app that will accept them? Or perhaps someone can help me and convert them to gpx form?
Thanks!

Hi,
You'll need either AlpineQuest or OfflineMaps (both free versions) to read your waypoints and export them in GPX.
If you don't have sensitive information, you can also send them to me by email so I can convert them.
Best regards
