I recently bought this app. everything is as awesome as i had expected it to be. However, recently my compass has become inaccurate by 30 - 40 degrees E. I have not dropped my phone nor have i let my phone sit on or around any magnets recently. could you please enlighten me as to the cause of this problem before I try to use this in the NC wilderness and it becomes a serious problem? I also noticed your tutorial shows an azimuth setting, of which my version does not have. did you get rid of it? please help. I don't want to lose my saved maps by reinstalling this app from scratch out of my google play account. If I can be sure it is a phone related issue vs an app related glitch that would be great.

Hi,
It just seems that your compass is un-calibrated. Try to turn your device in the space around all axises to auto-calibrate it, and check again the compass.
Also, it can be cause by a wrong magnetic declination computation. Can you tell me the value of this value? (displayed at the top right of the compass).
Concerning the azimuth setting, where have you seen it? Here is the online help: http://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/1.4/orientation. Old version needed a manual declination value, but it's not computed automatically.
Let me know.
Best regards
