Not actually sure where these are stored on the device on e downloaded, but just wondering if these can be tead/imported by AQ?

No it's not supported and I guess will never be...
Each app has its own storage format, undocumented, so it would require a lot of work to support it...

Yeah, I thought as much. No real problem, just would have been nice to have all my hikes in one place.
