[closed] Statistics for a track with segments

Post by CRider »

Hi,
I've recorded all my bike rides of a day as a track with multiple segments. More precisely, after each ride, I stop the tracker during the transport by car.
As a result, the statistics presents some very strange results (I didn't know that I was so fast ... 8000 km/h ;-) )
I think that the statistics should take into that segments may not be continuous both in time and space e.g the total uphill / downhill should not include the transport ...
Best regards.

Hi,
Yes you're right depending on how the segments are recorded, it can lead to weird statistics.
Here is another user talking about the same subject: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1431 (point 2).
Right now, the application will consider all segments as part of a single continuous track. You can get stats on each segments to get separate information, but when getting stats on the track, then everything is taken into account from the first location of the first segment to the last location of the last segment.
I'm currently thinking of a way to also give information that exclude parts between segment, but right now you can't

Hi,
I'm wondering whether you could reconsider this request ?
There could be a setting for computing the statistics of each track that specify if each segment is part of a continuous track or not.
By default, this setting would be set to true.
This is the only (remaining) weird behaviour that I'm still facing regularly.
Thanks.
Best regards.

Hi again,
Now that there is a statistics settings dialog, you're right that an option could be added for that quite easily.
I'll try to do this for the next version, and keep you informed if I find any technical difficulty.
Best regards

Hi,
AQ is getting better and better.
However, for this feature request, only part of my expectations are met.
When the inter-segments are not used for computing the statistics, the global information are now relevant.
But no events are displayed at all.
That's a pity as events like the minimum / maximum altitudes (among all segments) are valuable.
Also specific events like end / start of segment would be great to have.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hi,
Yes this feature is finally available since version 1.4.21.
As you noticed, events are not displayed when you exclude gaps, I'll add them back as soon as possible.
Best regards
