Can you explain what the x0.67 is on the scale? Is it the distance on the scale is equal to the distance times 0.67? Why would you do that?

No the distance displayed in the scale box is the real one.
The x0.67 indicates that 1 pixel on the map is displayed on 0.67 pixel on your screen. It's not really related to the scale, just an additional information.

Technically, your device has a high-density pixel screen (physical pixels are 0.67x smaller than usual to provide a better display quality), displaying the map with a 0.67 ratio allows to display 1 map pixel on 1 physical screen pixel.
