My problem is that Alpinequest no longer displays any of my offline maps that were working under previous versions.
I Just updated to version 1.4.8 I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 phone with the latest android (for this phone).
I am a long time user of the paid application.
ALSO, When I go to EXPLORE maps (menu), it does not show any of my offline maps – just the new ones in the cache folder.
My maps were created many months ago using Mobile Atlas. It is an older version of Atlas that still allows me to use the GOOGLE maps. These maps are stored on my external SD card in the alpinequest folder in the "maps" folder (this is where they have been located for the past year).
I get no error messages.
Under the ABOUT menu I have the following:
LOGS
File: /mnt/extSdCard/alpinequest/logs/alphinequest.log
ERROR: null
Technical info
Device ESD: /storage/sdcard0
Device DD: /data
Applocation folder: /mnt/extSdCard/alpinequest
I have NOT played with the memory path in settings. I have tried many restarts. My card is not locked. Everything else works fine.
I am leaving on a trip soon, if you can not tell me what I may be doing wrong, or fix the problem --- please give me instructions on how to download an older version of your program (an any authorization I may need.)
Thanks!

Re: Version 1.4.8 not dislaying my old maps
Hi,
Nothing concerning maps changed in version 1.4.8.
Have you selected the "On-board maps" section (as opposed to the stored maps section).
Here is the online help: http://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/1.4/ ... lpinequest.
Let me know if it's OK or not.

YES! That fixed my problem. I am VERY happy. Thank you.
However, I must say that I am an experienced user of your fine product and never had to select the location of the maps before on any other version update. So, this did not seem obvious to me - but, it was simple.
I am happy for your immediate response. Thanks

Ok perfect.
It hasn't changed recently, but it's true that this selection is not really clear...

I've seen that error a couple of times myself after previous upgrades of AQ. There seems to be some rare issue with external SD detection immediately after an upgrade. A difficult one to pinpoint, but specifying the path avoids the issue altogether.tomp wrote:YES! That fixed my problem. I am VERY happy. Thank you.
