It would be very useful if we could set seperate units of measurement for altitude and distance.
In the UK we generally use meters for altitude and miles for distance (contrary to what the rest of the world thinks we use!)
It does seem rather small issue, but our maps use an altitude in meters, and most people prefer the use of miles to guage distance. (and since the AlpineQuest devs seem extremely reactive to suggestions I thought it cant hurt to ask!)

Yes you're right that I haven't thought of that kind of situation.
It's technically not hard to do, I'll just check if there is a way not to overload the settings, and let you know.

I have added a new hybrid distance unit, with distances in miles and elevations in metres.
