[done] GPX export with baro pressure and GPS precision

Hi,
The new tracking is really great.
It's really useful to have the baro pressure and the GPS precision recorded with each position.
However, this additional information only exists with the new export format, which happens to be not readable.
It would be really useful if this information is also exported with the GPX format (as an extension like for the icons) for post-processing.
Thanks
Regards.

Hi,
Yes it's a good idea. I'll add an option in the export process.
However, since the GPX format doesn't support this kind of information, you won't be able to use it in external application, but only as text data.
Best regards

Hi again,
Thanks for adding this feature to the version 1.3.11.
It's not a big problem for me, but I've just noticed that copy / pasting from a track file to a GPX file only adds precision data and not pressure data.
Regards.

I actually remove the pressure data while copying a track to a GPX track (I forgot to remove the accuracy data which has been added later).
The reason for that is because saving pressure and accuracy data in GPX format produce "invalid" files which could lead some strict applications to refuse to read it. That's why I don't want to do it by default.
What could be done in this case is asking the user what data to save when pasting the track, a bit like the GPS Location Tracker export process.
Best regards

Hi,
Having the ability to copy / paste precision and pressure is useful as one would need to export a track only in the native format. When needed, a GPX file with all data can be created via copy / paste.
So I'm in favor to have an option or a preference setting (thus avoiding a question to the user) to get all data in the GPX file.
Thanks.
Regards.

Hi again.
I have released version 1.3.12 but I haven't added this setting yet. Right now when copying/pasting GPX tracks, both accuracy and pressure values are removed, in order to get a clean GPX file. I plan to add this setting in the next version.
Best regards

It's now possible to save pressure and accuracy data in GPX files, using the unofficial tags "<pressure>" and "<accuracy>" (even when copy/pasting tracks to GPX format).
By default, it's not activated, since it produces incorrect GPX files.
To activate it, simply save the attached file in the AlpineQuest folder (usually "/sdcard/alpinequest/").
