I have been using AlpineQuest for a couple of years now and have found it to be brilliant and just about the best App I have. I have just upgraded to the latest version and find the clarity and functions a great improvement. One thing that would help me is if I could change the colour of the tracks (or routes, or both). I tend to walk following a 'route' on my device (an Orange San Fransisco phone) and plot a 'track' at the same time. As they are both blue they can get a bit confused and the ability to change their colours would be helpfull. (I see from your screen shots that this might once have been possible). Again many thanks for a great funtional and well supported App.

Hi and thanks for your feedback.
Yes you can change the colour of GPX tracks and routes, but not the track currently being recorded.
To change the colour, long click on a route/track, select 'Edit', and click on the colour button.
Best regards.

Wow!
that was quick reply - and Wow!
that's just what I wanted. I had been using version 1.20 and didn't bother to upgrade because I was very happy with it. (except perhaps for the fixed track/route colours) I have just bought a tablet (Samsung Tab2 10.1) and thouht I would try AlpineQuest on it (although I don't think I will be carrying it around with me on walks). It works perfectly on that and registered simply with my registration Email address. That prompted me to upgrade my old version - and I am glad I did. I did look for the colour change facility - but couldn't find it - that will teach me to look harder next time.
The ability to download maps and have them cached automatically is another very big plus for me - the previous way using Mobile Map Creator worked fine but was a bit tiresome (and needed the PC).
Best Regards
