[closed] Viewing Current Track

When I am walking I like to be able to see my current track. I can then see if I am still going the wrong way with a quick glance - if the track diverges from my route.
Is there anyway to display my route and current track simultaneously?
Thanks

Hi and thanks for your feedback.
Yes of course, as soon as you start the location tracker, the recorded track will be displayed on the map (in blue). You have to walk a little to see the update.
You can simultaneously display any other tracks and routes from GPX/KML file, which will be displayed in purple by default.
Best regards

Ok I have done some experimenting. The precision threshold seems to default to 4. I assume this is 4m although I can't find any explanation anywhere. If I change it to 100 Alpinequest starts to record a track. However when I entered a shop for half an hour the track stopped being recorded (although the tracker said it was still running).
I found that the precision threshold was back at 4 again.
Also when it is recording is there anyway to alter the colour and thickness of the track as I can't see the current option clearly without having to put my reading glasses on so at the moment I am still using MMtracker as I can then see the track (and route) without haveing to find my glasses.

Hi,
The precision threshold must be given in the distance unit of the app (meters or feet).
When the signal is lost (in a shop or anywhere else), the tracker icon becomes red and the application sounds (if not turned off in the settings). This not depends on the precision threshold, but on the status of satellites. If the satellites are still OK, but the precision not good enought, the locations are not recorded but the tracker icon is still green (maybe this point has to be rethinked). However the location threshold should not be reseted (I'll try to reproduce it).
Concerning the current track display, you can change the size in the preferences: under 'Landmarks', 'Display size'.
I'll let you know for the threshold reset point.
Best regards
