Galaxy Tab II running Android 4.0
App works ok if online, or have maps stored.
To create maps on Mobac I need to download Java 1.6 but the java download site tells me that the Tab II is not supported, so at the moment cannot create maps for offline use.
Any suggestions to get round this?
Otherwise, great app.

Hi wobbly.
MOBAC if for use with PC/Linux/Mac computers, unfortunately tablets are not supported.
However AlpineQuest now has a built-in feature allowing you to store areas for offline use, just like what MOBAC does, see here:
http://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/1.4/ ... store-area
Best regards

Thanks for the quick reply.
That looks simple enough.
Oddly, I dont have the 'Store maps' option, just the explore and displayed options. I originally had lite, but downloaded the full app when I saw how good it looked.

Ok, just to update - solved the store maps issue - I still had lite installed and it seems to default to it. Now uninstalled and full version has store maps now.

Hi again,
You have to display at least one "online" map to have this menu item displayed. I think that's why you didn't saw it at first.
Best regards

Hi, I tested AlpineQuest on the following devices:
Sony Xperia Z1 (hiking use)
Galaxy TabPro 10" (professional use)
It works perfect on both (running Android 4.4).
