[fixed] Available maps being displayed on zoom out/in

Post by haydnbuzz »

Hello,

I've four different scale maps of the same area 1:25k, 1:50k & some general larger scale road maps. Previously on zoooming in/out on the desired area the appropriate map would be displayed according to the zoom. I.e. 25k when zoommed in and I could then zoom out & in again to get 50k displayed. I've used the app for the first time today in a while and I'm having to click on Maps>available maps> followed by manually selecting the map I wish to view. I've played with the pinch to zoom & lock zoom on levels but have had no luck? Am I experiencing the right behaviour, has this changed recently?

Paid version
2.0.7b

Thanks for any help!

Hi,
Once you've selected a first map, you must use the "+" and "-" zoom buttons.
The pinch to zoom will only change the zoom of the current map but not load another one.
Hope it helps
Best regards

Thanks for the help, I've switched off the pinch to zoom and I'm still running into the same issue. It seems only to be toggling between two maps only. For example I select the 50K map in available maps. if I zoom in using the "+" & out with the "-" and back in again it will go straight to the 25k map and I can only zoom out to the larger general scale map. I can't go "thru" the 50K and then to the 25K for more detail. Granted it's not a big thing but I'm sure it didn't used to behave this way.

I cannot reproduce this behaviour. It sounds like you are using the OSGB map, like me, possibly overlayed with the UK miniscale map? If so, are you using the MemoryMap version of these maps, or the BING online/cached version? I can state, for certain, that the AQ cached version of these maps zoom perfectly, switching scales automatically as and when expected.

You don't need to turn it off. It's just that it won't load another map, but you can still use it to zoom within the same map, and use the "+"/"-" buttons to switch to another map.

Ok I'll have a closer look with multiple maps and let you know.
