[closed] Map springs back even smaller

Post by jidanni »

It's just terrible, try this: first zoom a map using the plus symbol to the maximum that you can. Now use your two fingers to zoom in a little more. Now remove your two fingers from the map. The map springs back, to a zoom level even smaller than when we placed our fingers upon the map! It should just spring back to the zoom level that it was at originally.

Disable Lock Zoom On Levels in Settings, then this behaviour will not happen.

It's just terrible
I've seen things more terrible in my life

The two last presses on the "+" button will actually "over zoom" the last level of details.
After that, when you release your fingers the zoom goes back on the last details of levels (because you've the option "Lock Zoom On Levels" checked). The same behavior happens with the "-" button, it will un-zoom straight to the last level with just one tap (whereas you need two '+' tap to over zoom).

Yemble is perfectly right, just uncheck this option and it won't go back at all.

I'll wait until this bug in Lock Zoom On Levels is fixed rather than throwing out the baby with the bathwater and disabling it.

This is the expected behavior (see my previous explanation) so it won't be "fixed".
