is possible to set a automatic waypoint number in crescent order without write the number?

I need to mark many waypoints and I lost to much time to write a code number for each ones that I have to mark. It's not possible to simple save a waypoint with a automatic numeration? I try to do that but, first every waypoints are "waypoint 1"; secondly this strange automatic label do not display in the screen.with this simple problem I lost to much time to simple mark a waypoint... I only need a automatic different number

Unfortunately it's not currently possible, sorry about that.
Maybe you can just name them "1", "2", "3" instead of "waypoint 1", etc?
