[closed] Track recorder not working

I am using AlpineQuest on a Samsung phone, latest versions of both AQ and Android software. In the last couple of days the track recorder has gone haywire, recording all the tracks as straight lines and adding in points that I have not visited. I'm happy to send a screen shot if anyone can explain how to do it. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hi Tony,
Have you updated the application or your Android system recently?
What exact Android version do you use? (7, 7.1?)

Have you tried to "reset" your GPS data? You can do this with various free apps, including "GPS Status".

Thanks for responding. Android 7.0, AQ version 2.0.3.

Sod's law, after playing up for about a week, the track recorder worked perfectly today. I will look for an app to reset the GPS date should the problem recur, and contact you again if I can't cure it.

Hi.
You recently advised me how to deal with anomalies with track recording, but unfortunately they still recur.

On the attached screen shots, on Anomaly1 you can see that AQ shows a false detour as I walked the road shown in yellow, and on anomaly2 that I appear to be doing it at 47 mph. What is going wrong?

Hi again,
This is a common issue with some GPS. Some locations became inaccurate couldn't be correctly located. This creates in an abnormally long distance traveled in a short time, resulting in a high speed.
The new version that will be released soon will be able to detect and remove those kind of errors.

Version 2.0.4 has now been released with the ability to clean tracks like this one (option "Proprocess tracks" in the application preferences).
