[closed] DEM Elevation Data

A question about the new DEM elevation data (which by the way is BRILLIANT!)

Suppost I have recorded a track using the onboard GPS. Obviously the DEM and GPS elevations are not going to be exactly the same (DEM probably more accurate unless I am on a high bridge ). So if I save the track to a .trk file and subsequently export it to a .gpx file (which is what I always do) which elevations will be saved?

Just done a quick test and it appears to be the GPS data. Maybe an option could be added to choose between the two??

Hi David and sorry for the delay.
The app will always only use the DEM data with a lower priority (assuming that the GPS elevations are more precise).
I'll need to add options for the GPX export at some points, so I can include the option to fill/override the GPS elevations for sure... I'll keep you informed when I have a better idea of a release date.
