[fixed] Problem Accessing Track on screen - after upgrade to Andr 5

Had a Samsung Note 3 which I used very successfully with AQ for past couple of years. After phone upgraded Android system to Lollipop (Android 5.0) I have had great difficulty accessing tracks when they are loaded up on the screen. If I touch the track or waypoint on the track normally a menu would come up so I can look up information or change colour etc. Now I can keep touching the screen and nothing happens except randomly, perhaps 1 in 10 to 20 times. So it takes a long time to get the information I want. It is also a problem when I want to remove the track from the screen. I can still create tracks with AQ as this doesn't require touching the screen, but I cannot edit them.

Partly because of my frustration with this, I have changed my phone. Now using the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also with Android 5 and exactly the same problem is occurring. Everything else with AQ is working fine. I can use the touchscreen to expand and contract the map, but as soon as I touch the track on the map I have a problem. Any ideas and is anyone else experiencing these difficulties with Android 5.0?

It seems the same problem reported here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2244.
The next update of AlpineQuest will fix this issue (but I still cannot unfortunately give a release date).

Hi and thanks for your reply. I look forward to the update so that AQ if fully usable with Android 5 devices.

It's now fixed in AlpineQuest 2.
