I am using version 1.4.19 on a smartphone Lenovo A680 with Android 4.2.2. The compass can be turned on but nothing is happening.
On the previous version of alpine quest (before I made the update to 1.4.19), the compass could not be turn on at all.

Hi and thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately the Lenovo A680 doesn't ship a magnetic sensor (specs avail. here), so the compass feature cannot be available.
The way the compass works has changed in the last version, that's why it changed (even if it should be red as before).
