How to have seamless AQM layers without white borders?
How to have seamless AQM layers without white borders?
I am using MAP2CMAPC to convert calibrated maps (geotifs) to AlpineQuest format (aqm). The original geotif map is about 100-180MB in size. In MAP2CMAPC, the resulting aqm output file is about 50-160MB in size, using settings of zoom levels 9-12. There is a Make Margin Transparent option, but selecting that had no effect on the result which, when viewed in AlpineQuest, has a white border. This makes it impossible to have a number of seamless layers covering a country. So is there some way to get rid of the white borders?

Re: How to have seamless AQM layers without white borders?
Hi,
AlpineQuest does support translucent maps, so I'm afraid that the border is filled with white pixels, and there is not way for AlpineQuest to detect and remove it...
I guess that the only solution is to use the map transparency slider (menu 'Maps' -> 'Displayed maps'), to temporarily hide maps you don't need, and only display the map covering your current area.
Sorry about that,
Best regards
