[closed] Error message on opening maps

I have a galaxy Tab 2, GT-P3100. Alpinequest is installed and OS maps are correctly placed and identified on the 'external'SD card. The system seems to work perfectly well except that a message pops up on loading a map or opening if a map is already present. This message appears near the bottom of the screen and is on top of anything else including the keyboard. It stays for about 2-5min and then disappears. How can I do something about it or get rid of it, please:

'An error occured
Call: stream.moveTo
In: OctMapHeaderLeader
Throws: java.io.IOException
Message: bytecontent <0: - 1672431818’

Hi,
The error is due to one or more QCT MemoryMap map(s) failing to load correctly. Different causes are possible: too large map file (>2GB), corrupted file, un-handled feature.
If you send me the log file of AlpineQuest (usually located at '/sdcard/alpinequest/logs/alpinequest.log') after the issues I should find the exact reason and probably the concerned map.
If it's due to the size, splitting the map in different part would fix.
If it's due to a corrupted map, re-copying would fix.
If it's due to an un-handled feature, it will be fixed in the next update.

Many thanks. The log file is pretty big so I have tried to upload it rather than paste it here or cut it in any way. It is called alpinequest (santiago102) 130822.txt. Except that this forum won't accept either log or txt files. What is acceptable?

It seems you're using a very old version...
I think that this issue has been fixed for a while now. What version are you using?
You can update the application for free, wherever on the Play Store if you used it (check your apps updates) or get the last version on our website: http://www.alpinequest.net/en/download (can be registered with a previous key). Current version is 1.4.6.

If you have troubles updating or have the same issue again, please let me know.

Thanks. I have (or had!) version 1.3.1. I am not quite sure how I had this or whether it was Lite or Full. I have, however, paid for and downloaded the full version 1.4.6. from Google Play. No problems on opening the program. Many thanks.
