[closed] Automatic Screen Brightness

Post by ds47uk »

I keep my screen brightness low to conserve battery (Nexus 7), and if it is difficult to see the screen of AlpineQuest in bright sunshine it is even more difficult to find the screen brightness button!

I use an App called Tasker to automatically set the screen brightness to 100% whenever AlpineQuest is active on-screen, and back to default when it runs in the background.

It may be handy to have a switch in Alpine Quest to implement this. Menu > Settings > Screen brightness > xx%

Hi,
Thanks for this suggestion, I'll have a look at the ability to force the screen brightness from within AlpineQuest and let you know soon.
You're right that it may be handy in certain cases.
Best regards

This feature is finally available from version 2.2.4.

Use this user setting:

Code: Select all

core.screen.brightness=[brightness in percent]
