trip planing
I am a caver so I was wondering in the event of lost signal will it still track your progress. One of the easiest things to do underground is get turned around and spending hours trying to back track your path. Will this allow me to record my progress and use the trail to find my way back out remember no cell service or access to satilights just internal pedometer and compass

Re: trip planing
Hi,
Right now in AlpineQuest, if you lost the GPS signal the tracking will just stop.
It would definitely be a nice feature, but unfortunately I think that tracking locations without the GPS is simply impossible.
Even if you are using the internal gravity sensor to deduce an acceleration and direction, it will fast be very inaccurate.
Maybe you can have a look on the Internet if it is really possible and if an application can do it, but I don't think so.
Best regards
