Hi,
I purchased full app & have been experimenting with qct files. I placed a map in the 'external_sd/alpinequest/maps' folder and was able to find this on the maps tab.
When I went to an online map & tried to go back to the qct map later, it had disappeared, only the default map was now showing, depite me still being able to see the qct map in the same location I had placed it on the sdcard when using the file manager.
When I tap the maps icon and enter the map sources/memory card maps, the path in the yellow bar at the top shows; 'Memory card maps> /sdcard/alpinequest/maps/alpinequest/maps/' which I think is too much text? there is also another folder named 'alpinequest' above the Default World map (the only one showing-no qct files as in the file manager browser). This folder contains four further folders (cache, landmarks, logs and maps- the maps folder contains Default World only), I dont think this folder should be showing here but not sure what I did to cause this.
In settings, application folder, the window shows; '/sdcard/alpinequest/maps/' so looks ok to me.
Is there a simple fix, ie; uninstalling/re-installing the app? if so, how do I do this because it says I have already installed the app in my google account & I dont see an option 're-install'.
Assuming I can re-install & get back to where I was, is there any reason why the qct map would only have worked once and then became inaccessible.
Many thanks.

Hi and thanks for using AlpineQuest.
The setting 'Application folder' should actually be seen as a storage folder. In your case it should simply be something like '/sdcard/' or '/external_sd/'. AlpineQuest will then create its folders inside it automatically.
You have to restart AlpineQuest to correctly take this change into account. That's maybe why it stopped working after a restart if you changed it the time before.
At first install AlpineQuest will try to locate the SD card automatically and set this setting, so yes a re-install could work: you have to uninstall and then install the application (of course you won't pay again, the Market will let AlpinQuest in your apps list).
Best regards
