Hi,
I only use builtin receivers so I won't be able to help you unfortunately.
But anyway you'll need to use a third party app like "Bluetooth GPS" to communicate with your external device, and forward the locations into your device (and the app).
Do you like AlpineQuest ? Leave a small comment on Google Play !

Hello,

I often use an external GNSS USB antenna because my GPS built in receiver isn't really good in some cases (in car, under trees, etc...)
I use this one but there is many other choices

Just necessary to connect it with an OTG adapter, use an app like "GPS Connector", and enable it in phone settings/developers options/mock locations.
Interesting because the antenna can be upgrade with the PC app"Ublox center" for changing sats sources, frequency, etc...
For me the precision result is really impressive.
